Pets Or Pests?
Room 7 discovered through the Kiwi Conservation Club for Kids (www.kcc.org.nz) that our beloved pets can be harmful to our native wildlife. Cats kill native birds and dogs disturb young seals and kill penguins, and other flightless birds. In pairs, Room 7 thought of ways to keep their pets from becoming pests. (Click on image to enlarge)

It is good to see concern shown in the classroom for the native birds in such a lovely area as Otatara.
